Install once. Medicus keeps itself current.

A signed launcher checks for a newer version every time Medicus opens and applies it silently. You never download an update again.

Installer ships Medicus 1.0.79 and updates itself on first launch · Windows 10 / 11, 64-bit

After you click

Four steps, about three minutes.

1

Run the installer

It places Medicus in its own folder and adds a Medicus shortcut to your Desktop and Start menu.

2

Open Medicus

Always open it from the shortcut. The launcher verifies the app and takes the newest version if there is one.

3

Create an account

New to Medicus? Create your account right in the app. Already have one? Just sign in.

4

Paste your first chart

Drop a triage note into box 1, your interview into box 2, and press Generate.

What you need

Requirements

  • Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
  • An internet connection while charts generate
  • Installs to C:\Medicus and runs without elevation; creating that folder can need an administrator on locked-down machines
  • Works alongside your EHR: output is copied, never injected
How updates work

Signed, silent, reversible

  • Each release ships with a signed manifest; the launcher refuses anything unsigned
  • Updates apply at launch and take a few extra seconds, nothing to click
  • A failed update rolls back to the version that was working
  • Your rules, settings and charts stay in place across updates
For IT

What your desktop team will ask.

Install details

  • Signed Medicus-Setup.exe (Inno Setup); installs to C:\Medicus and creates Start menu and desktop shortcuts
  • Runs without elevation, writes no service and no scheduled task, and registers no uninstaller
  • /SILENT and /VERYSILENT are accepted for imaging
  • Digitally signed and timestamped
  • An existing C:\Medicus that is not a managed install is moved to C:\Medicus_backup, never deleted
  • Outbound HTTPS only, to medicusarc.com and the drafting service

Shared workstations

  • Group installs require a login and lock after idle
  • Charts are stored under the signed-in Windows profile
  • Licenses are per install and revocable from the console
  • Updates apply at launch; no scheduled task, no service
